Though it’s probably everyone’s least favourite topic, there’s no doubt that properly managing your finances will have a direct and positive impact on your experience. Safety and Security:
While choosing a pg on rent we must consider the safety and our safety should be on the priority basis. Either you are men or women, criminal spares no one. Those who are looking for a pg in Delhi, it is advisable to choose that property which is registered with the RWA (Resident Welfare Association).
Security refund is the main issue that every student faces at the time when the left the hostel specially in kota.

Take All The Details of Pg/Flat/Room and facilities :
Before you finalize your deal with for the pg/room/flat, you must visit the property at different times of the day. It will help you to get an idea for location, residents, and safety. It is advisable to ask from the people of that locality regarding the locality and the security. You can also visit the nearby market and check the proximity of it from your Pg/Flat/Room.
Never choose hostel or Pg that are on Lease.
While choosing hostel or Pg always first talk to the owner of hostel.
While handing out the monthly rent, never forget to take reciept at that time. Also, if manager or warden is taking care of monthly rent, then inform the owner about your monthly payment.
Always keep record of your payments.
Clear everything with the owner about all the essential things including power backup, water supply, Geyser facility during winters, per unit charge of A.C. etc.
Also check that the timing of breakfast, lunch should not coincide with the time of your classes and if it does then talk directly to the owner regarding this.
Food
Hostels and PGs are known to have lack of understanding on this fundamental thing about students – “Only good food will help a person to study well”. They run mainly to make money out of everything, and if they offer food as a service they will ensure to cook something that completely destroys your taste buds. It is very common for hostelers and PG residents to eat food from outside. In fact, food is one of the main reasons people quit from in PGs and Hostels.
